View Full Version : Fear and loathing in Parker Arizona....

Weird and sleepless nights littered my birthday weekend..... Friday july 18th began as any normal day starts in my life, up at 6 at work by 7. Slaving in the savage world that is every day life for too many of us. I stared at the clock far to often, minutes seemed like hours...hours like days. Wanting, wishing for that hand to strike 430 so i could escape that daily grind. The hour finally came and our adventure began....this trip was to be different.....it was to be a gross salute to everything right and wrong morally.

I was picked up by my buddies who already had my stuff loaded, boat connected and a road beer waiting for me.

We trekked thru the vast wilderness that is Joshua tree. Watching the temp rise from a cool 99 degrees to 110 . Hunger struck so we pulled over and had a delicious snack thanks to my connections @ subway.....by the way thanks tia for the packs of subway meat for our trip!

Our journey continued thru the night for 260 miles with the occasional kangaroo rat running across the road to meet its doom by an f350 pulling a 19 foot bayliner carrying 4 people pushing morbid obesity to a new level and 1 anorexic ex-Taliban member named Robert. 1 bat tried to penetrate the front windshield but failed epically.

We pulled into Parker towards the end of a monsoon @ 1030pm . it was awesome watching the red lightning screech across the sky like the webs fine wine creates on a crystal glass when u swish it around. We quickly set up camp and began fishing for the elusive rancor (also known as a catfish)....by the way ill buy the first person who gets that reference a beer at hooters next Saturday. I quickly pulled in 3 nice rancor weighing between 6-7 pounds each. Sorry no pics of the night fishing i was too plastered to even try to handle my camera in the river.

Day break came and with it arrived our one and only day to wreak havoc and destruction on the Parker strip...... we launched the boat and brought it over to our campsite and picked up the monstrosities awaiting...

I had my nephew el bigote snap some pics of me with our bounty from the previous night...

i wont go into to much more detail on what happened after this but let me tell you...26 years on this earth led me to this fantastic weekend. i Want to thank everyone that wished me happy bday in the general section, theres nothing more i would of wanted than to have my team 57 family with me over this weekend, it was definately one to remember. ill let let the pics tell the rest of the story.
enjoy........

Nice,

I would share my experiences with you from my trip to Parker last year but I was so hammered, I hardly remember anything. Did you stop at Roadrunners for their famous concoction? Good Times!
