Getting ready for a fishing trip and was just wondering if any body has fished there before? Independece creek runs right by the campsite. This will be my first time creek fishing and would appreciate some pointers.

My only experiences on Independence Creek have been during the early opener in March. We usually stay in the county campground during that time of year because it’s warmer. We make day trips up to the Grays area to fish, and although I’ve never camped there, it seems like it would be a pleasant place to camp during the summer.
They used to stock the creek weekly but Im not sure if their on that same schedule considering the budget cutbacks.
I usually fish for the stockers in that creek by drifting a salmon egg with a little split shot.
