I was down at a friends house in San Clemente and decided I would fish while they surfed. I didn't have my gear so I borrowed a buddies. Used anchovies w/ 2oz weight and caught a 3 calico's and 1 croaker. The other people fishing caught a bunch of different species. Saw a HUGE batray, White Sea Bass, Halibut (24"), a small Leo along with 10 to 20 Calico's. All fish caught on Anchovies between 6:00pm - 8:00 pm. Pretty good day.

A friend of mine that lives down in that area tells me that it can be very productive at times. I may have to give it a go one of these days. :Wink:

WOW, Wingnut (The man the myth the legend) responded to a post of mine? That just made my day. That spot was really productive. There is one certain spot about 60 feet along the shore where all the fish were caught. People were skunked just north and south of this area. PM me and I will tell you where the spot is if you'd like, even though I'm sure you will do just fine without my help! I might go back next weekend.

The Tressles is very productive except when I visit it!
It will get better in as you learn the area!
