Hit the sand about 4.30am. to try for some Leos but
ended up catchin a couple of Rays instead!!!
Come light, moved over to the perchin area and
started gettin some Crabbies.
An hour into it NOTHIN!!!
Started gettin real determined and was castin and movin
every ten ft. All of a sudden SLAM!!! One hour into it and
I was catchin a mess of piggies, mostly 10in or above with a bunch
of Dinks not Pic.ed

Those things are scary esp since you know when your in the surf they are with you to. Thanks for the pics and report. Keep it up

I have landed those ones in the pic before and they have big sharp barbs right under the tail i am sure they will stick you and they also call batrays stingrays.

Nice fish. That big bat must have put up a hell of a tussle on a perch rig!:Shocked:
Have you ever weighed one that size? I always wonder how big they go and I don't have a quality scale to weigh them before release.
