After yesterday, i thought i had figured out a winning pattern. So i went back up today. another fnn'er was going to go with me but things didnt work out.. to bad for him. Anyway on the lake at 6:20 off the lake at 11:20, left them biting. Ended up boating 40 trout to 16 inches. i was pretty happy i was able to release 36. all on straight night crawlers on leadcore(i still hate leadcore). what i am doing because these smaller trout seem to inhale them so what i am using a #2 true turn plastic worm hook and i am pinning down the barb so i can get them back fast. if i loose a few that is ok at least i will not kill them. i really like the ture turns because 9 out of 10 times it get them in the top jaw for an easy release.

To Pete- You'd better not get too dialed in at Lake Hemet. When the Jewel reopens, you'd better be ready with your DR setups! And, you won't have to use your leadcore. Just think that when you are using leadcore, it's like working out. Soon, you won't even have to worry about the lead, just thinking about those line stripping holdovers........
