nothing like returning home from a week of camping in kauai to sweltering 100 degree weather. although i did see areas of freshwater (heard there are peacock bass out there) but i only fished the salty stuff so i was fiending to get back in the loop. after finally unpacking (4 days later) i hit the water. fished 3 spots for roughly 8-10 fish apiece with 2 bruisers landed and another 3 lost due to hyper drag syndrome, and thrown hooks. fish were interested in pretty much everything from buzzbaits to plastics.
i broke down and purchased a camera for the hawaii trip, no more excuses.
