Kill and slay everything except for the lmb of course, lol...
Sorry for the late report guys I lost my memory card lol.
July 8th
We fished our local club tournament with about 10 boats, and we needed this one bad! The last 2 tournaments we placed 2nd and 3rd so all we was thinking about was 1st place -- game on...
We started out the morning hitting our fav. area for some keeper fish, and in 30 min we had our limit! Sweet and a nice kicker fish of 3 lbs 10 oz - We head out to another area my dad frank marino gets a 2.5 lber near the boat I net em, FISH JUMPS OUT OF THE NET!!! AHH we coulda threw away a 1.3lber we had... dammit we will get em.
The very next cast I stick a 3.5 lber :) alright! made up for my mistake. Then we dropshotted for a bit and nailed three 2.1-2.2 lbers and we had our weight by 9:30 am!!
We even came in an hour early messing around setting up the tent, bbq and everything, lol.
We came out with 1st place Total weight of: 12.90 :) YES our first castaic win!!!! We always got 2nd everytime and we finally broke it. And the fishing was TOUGH, so that makes it even better :)

So we head back on my birthday July 10th and we are lookin for some fun with the stripers.
So we head out to castaic early in the morning and we got 5 guys in our 07 21ft Ranger Z21, and we were fishing pretty comfortable! Man these boats are wide.. lol
First point we hit I see stripers LOADED on the graph WOW i didnt even have time to take a pic... So I grab my dropshot rod loaded with 4lb flourcarbon cut up a peice of frozen anchovie drop it right under the boat and as soon as it hit bottom FISH ON, It was like that for about 30 min fish after fish but they were small so we head out to another area for some bigger fish..
The current was flowing through near the dam, so we were fishing the point near it, and the stripers were LOADED !! We hammered fish all day long there biggest striper at 4lbs and also landed 2 kittys biggest was about 7.4lbs and a hell of a fight on 4lb test!!
All and all we had a blast and we slayed and killed about 30 striper and 2 kittys on cut frozen anchovie it was fun and for my birthday we had a pretty big fish fry. Fish tacos on the bbq, and some fryed with some potatos, It was GREAT!! The kids thought they were chicken strips, lol.
