Balboa/Newport Piers?

Hey guys,

I was thinking about heading down to O.C and fish for some catfish bait sometime soon and I was wondering if the macks and bonito have come to town yet at the O.C piers, namely Balboa and Newport. Any dope would be greatly appreciated. Thx

Lots of them at both. Forget sabiki rigs, double dropper loops with a 1/2 ounce bell sinker, and strips of squid. Add a glow in the dark light to your rig if fishing at night.
