Finally got the chance to take my wife and her little sister out on the salt. We jumped on the tradition out of Redondo Sportfishing thinking we would be headed to Catalina after some yellows. I was surprised that there was only 11 of us there. I thought it would be packed since the tradition scored a few yellows the day before. We ended up not goin to Cat due to bait issues which kinda bummed me out but it was cool. We made the long ride down south all the way back to long beach in search of cudas and sandies. Fishing wasnt wide open but a steady pick on the cudas and my wife and sis in law both picked up a few cuda a piece and the wife also got a really nice sandie. I also got a new species today. SOLE....
The Tradition is a good looking boat. The food was bomb as usual and service was great. Also found out Jackpot Jimmy himself was fishin on the boat. Diehard fisher right there. Heres some pics....

TD - I've heard from several people that smoking them is really good. I'm not sure how they do it cuz I have a hard time rolling them up and to get them lit. :Envious:

Other options I've heard glazed with teriyaki sauce is good and also using them for ceviche.

Thanks for reading guys. TD im gonna try tacos with it. My mom usually makes a mince fish salad kind of asian dish with it. Good stuff.

How big were the barelycudas? :-) glad you guys had fun. Would love to catch more cudas but work is gettin crazy. Plus the wife said I can't go fishing until the 29th
