My buddy gave me a call on wednesday telling me he is going out on thursday aboard the Islander on a 1.5 day. I saw that the boats where doing pretty good so I decided to tag along. Glad I did. I got JP with my first Bluefin tuna. Lucky for me my 20lb held up. No one had a scale so I don't know how heavy it was. We where 160 miles down. Long boat ride but well worth it.
After we arrived to the grounds we had the trollers in for about 30-45 minutes before my favorite words were yelled. "HOOOOK UUUUPP" it was on for about 40 fish. Through out the day we had several stops for 15-20 fish. Our last stop was the best. We left them biting because everyone had limits. Sorry now action shots. Too busy fishing.
Last of all I want to thank the capt. and crew of the Islander. Great job putting us on fish. And to top it off the food was great too.
