(escondido) anybody been fishing in the lakes there? the lady at the desk said that there were three bass lakes, c and r only, but thats about it. any info would be greatly appreciated... (water depth, clarity and any lures that have worked in the past) ill be there for a few days camping and i am going to hopefully fish the whole time

Right, they are not much more than ponds. I saw a report recently on another site from the July 4th weekend. They caught bluegill, bass, and catfish. The catfish were were up to about seven pounds and there was one bass that was five or six pounds. The water was in the background of one shot, and it looked clear with algae covered rocks. The guy making the report said that he saw a bass that would have gone a solid ten pounds. Good luck.
