Hit Bakersfield duct areas Friday night, when I got there the gates opened up right afterward.
The vegetation proved to make it pretty unfishable.
The flow was pretty heavy ! and gates wide open !
I tried a few different areas miles away from each other but still mass moss !
This equated to “NO MASS ~”
I got 1 short strike and that was it (most likely cause the stripey don’t care for a head of lettuce floating down the current!)
I did really like the areas I went to and they showed great fish potential and 1 of them even had a few fish popping on small baits.
I’ll have to return in different conditions.
On the way home I stopped at the duct “on the other side of the hill”
Moss conditions were better than over there but still proved to be big problems !
Between the heavy algae collections and the gates being “wide open!” with the water running rampant, I didn’t get anything going !
SKUNK FOR FRIDAY NIGHT/SAT MORN !
Oh well, I guess that a skunk was well overdue and I took my lumps and tired sore feet home…
BUT: Vowed to return very soon for revenge !
