Made it to the lake at 0615, just in time to see about 30 boats blast off for a dual tournament. Two different bass clubs both having a tournament that morning, so no way to find a place on the lake that wasnt taken. Managed to land one keeper smallie and two dinks, two on crankbaits, one on dropshot Berkley gulp minnow. Had a monster strike and had a few others come off. Water temp 74.5-75 degrees. Water was very stained as well, and the level must be down another 5 feet from a month ago. Hot as hell. Left at noon due to heat and lack of interest. Saw lots of boats fishing deep off-shore structure, didnt notice if anybody was hooking up. Also tried a bit of fly casting for bass with no love. Managed to shut one of my boats lockers on my best spinning rod as well. Tough day on the lake....
