skinner 7-10 & 7-11 stripers and catfish all day [Archive]

Fish lake skiner on Firday and Saturday with my uncle and it was wide open for striper and catfish all day. We were catching fish every 10 - 15 minutes. All the this were caught in the main channel with the bait and wait using ancioves as bait.

i'm heading out Wednesday for largemouths, but will definitely give the stripers a little try, too. Plan on throwing topwater early, then slow swimbaits and plastics after 9 or so. Anyone hit the LMB lately?

Thanks everyone, I was told by the told ranger that someone caught 30 catfish within 3 hrs. She told they were catching them at the south end of the lake.

I was out in the main channel all day. What boat were you in? Was it the red tracker?

Nice haul in Bluegill, my son and I had some plans to do some slayage on Sat but plans fell through to the mighty to-do list. See ya out there in channel sometime, white crestliner with the DR droppin

Thats the lick on the line sides. A buddy of mines from San Bernardino who dont post on sites told me about the good striper bite recently at Skinner. I need to get after some of those just for some fish tacos. Nice going.

The striper action had been WFO for the last 4 months, I don't always post my catches evey weekend. Good luck out there!

Thanks....where have you been? I havn't seen any skinner report from you latey. Sorry to hear about your DVL trip last weekend. I hear the bluegill and catfish is on fire at DVL.

I have been too busy with my errands. I rarely go out fishing, not too much.

My trip last weekend, I saw lots of huge bluegills in the Saddle Dam where they swim around in the stairway. I didn't bring my night crawlworm, or crickets, and small hook with me. Dayum! I know you loved bluegill. You should go out there.

But you can go on Wednesday, the boat rental gives you cheaper 50 % off then other days and weekend more $$$$
