First leagal halibut in years!!! 7/3/09 w/pics

My buddy Jesse and I got to Kings Harbor about 6:30am on 7/3/09. Rented one of the skiff and got a half of scoop of chovies. Start off well with a few fish on swimbaits. Jesse got the first fish a sand bass and the I got a short hali only 9" or 10" long, but it was a good start. Have a great time and caught a lot of fish all day. I finally got a leagal halibut about half an hour before we had to go.

1- spotted bay bass
1- barracuda

1- leagal halibut (24" long) :-)
8- short halibuts
1- barracuda

We both had too many makeral to count!!!

How much was the boat rental? I live right down the street from the King Harbor and was thinking about renting one in the future.

We did have a great time. 1/2 day is $55 and all day (8 hours) is $75 I believe.
