Does anyone have any special remedies on how to heal a sun burn?

My daughter got burned on her back.. (oops I put lotion everywhere else, but forgot her back) :Sad:

I only put lotion on my face and not anywhere else and am completely burned except for my face.. :Shocked:

So if anyone has any suggestions on how to heal them please let me know..

DO you have any Alo Vera plants? If you use the gel inside the leaf things it works great. Or you can buy Aloe Vera gel at a grocery store or Wal Mart. I personally think the plant works better, but the store bought stuff does work.

Vanilla extract is a temporary pain killer. It does nothing to help the peeling such as aloe vera gel.

Ok so I had my husband get me some of that aloe lotion.. Seems to help cool it down.. Its Aloe Cool and fresh lotion with cucumber extract. I hope that helps my daughter and I from pealing.

In the long run I had a nice time in San Diego at the beach.. Husband got to surf fish and my daughter got to learn how to surf.. So I guess the getting burned part wasn't all for nothing. :Confused:

Thanks again for all your advices.. I will use them all if this lotion does not work..

I have heard that vinear helps with the pain. It don't smell very good on you .:Wink:

100% Aloe Vera gel is the best next to having the plant in your yard.


Aloe Vera will help the burn but most likely you both will be peeling.

that can be a very hard lesson to learn.to much sun can kick your butt.even in overcast days you better put sun block on.trust me i had to learn the hard way.
