View Full Version : Burning up at the DUCT,,,,but we made them PAY,,PICS

Myself and GATBLOOD and a friend met up with CUTBAIT and a cpl of his bassing buddys out at the duct yesterday evening,,,,,,,Hit a total of 7 spots between the 2 groups.

Weve been on a C and R mode for a few trips and decided that this trip we would try to put some away for the 4th of july shindigs!!!!

That would be 12 keepers to fill our limits ,,,,A tall order for the cement river.

WELL WE KICKED THERE BUTT,S Stripers all around.

We used my some of my tricks,,,and a new trick that CUTBAIT figured out recently keep us busy from abought 8pm till abought 11,30 pm.

Water flows were xlnt,,,,A little moss but verry fishable

Caught fish at 3 diferent sets of gated and at 1 siphon and 1 over crossing.

Skunked out at 2 sets of gates and 1 other over crossing,,

When we started fishing it was a SCALDING 108 degrees at our 1st location ,, H O T !!!!!!,,,,,.But started cooling to a bearable temp as the breeze picked up and the sun went down.

Fished ranged from 18 to 26 and 1/2 inches long,
abought 2 1/2 to 6 lbs.

All cought on FLUKES,,,,RATTLE BAITS ,,,and LARGE JERK BAITS,,,Fished SLOW!!!

Sorry abought that last pic of myself,,,im not the best picture taker,,Would have liked to have filled the frame with that 1 in my left hand cause he was a good one.

Weekend flows have been w,o with TONS of moss to deal with,,,sometimes its completely unfishable fri threw sun night.

Hope this dosnt turn out to be the case for you

So let me do the math to see how I'd do if I was to head out there.

Hmmm...1 fisherman + 3 rods + 6 baits divided by 20 miles of duct. Add in $20 worth of gas and 100 miles of driving. Times that by 3 Monsters which causes 10 bathroom breaks...

Calculating...carry the 4...remainder of 7...........

Yep...I'd still catch ZERO.
