fri 6/26/09 Long beach

Went out of Davies about 5 ,headed out to the oil platforms .Fished 250-300 jig and shrimp fly combo.Salmon grouper just kept getting bigger on every drop.Water was clean and very blue ,lots of jelly fish around 66 on the water temp .The Freelance was about 4 miles east of us sitting in 150ft of water catching sculpin , was not another boat around us all morning .Limit was reached at about 10am,so we cruised on in. About half way in there where birds going nuts ,trolled around ,lost one big (?????) then nothin but macks .Dropped the hook set up the bbq and had some burgers .Took a short nap then hit up the wall .fished the wall till about 10 pm managed a few to add to the sunday fish fry . Weather was great burgers where great , the boys had fun even tho I nabbed the two biggest on one drop, ALL AROUND GREAT DAY ...............................Bob

By my count you had 46 fish for 4 anglers, so you were over the limit.

He was over the limit IF he caught more ROCKFISH at the wall....he is allowed a 20 fish bag limit per day....since he didnt specify what he caught at the wall, we shouldnt assume he was over his limit...he could have gotten bass or sculpin....as long as they didnt catch more than 5 more per person, they were not over limit

we did not catch any rockfish by the wall .......after we caught the rockcod i had rule book in hand to make sure we did not trow the ball out of bounds :)
