So ... I know I know ... this aint no Wingnut Spiderman legal butt thread, but hey .... Skipperdick and I got SeaSick17 on his FIRST float tube today ... not epic, but it was a CHILL day :Cool:

We launched about 2 hours before high tide @ Bay Island ... there were some Asian dudes (no offense anyone) fishin right off the sand by the channel ... they had a frickin gang of croaker, smelt, and other small fish ... all lying helpless and dead in a bucket ... the old man who lives right there told me they're there 3 times a week and they sell them @ the market ... he ordered us to PURPOSEFULLY launch our tubes right on top of their lines (which I did rightfully so...)
because he calls DFG on these guys all the time for keeping non-legal butts and no one ever shows up...

Anyways...

Between Todd (Skipperdick), George (SeaSick17) and me (LunkerLover) we threw Berkley 3" and 5" shrimps, 5" jerkshads, 3" squids, 3" and 5" Fish Traps, Big Hammers and SHEETY (I mean CRAPPY) Gary Yamamoto 5" swimmies ... some Berkley lug worms, yadda yadda yadda...

Word up man ... there's been times where I've witnessed someone take an illegal catch, warn them about it, get ignored by them, then proceed to simply take their catch out of the bucket and toss it back in. usually in fresh water though.

Try calling these folks for any harbor violations! They have been very aggressive at checking licenses in the past and have chased off a lot off the riff raff in the past year! And they can and do have full authority to enforce DFG regs.
