I'm gonna be visiting some family next month and they live in hornbrook, next to the klamath river. Just wondering if anyones fished the area, just looking for some general info. Also where I'll be staying I found out that there's cottonwood creek, Irongate reservoir, and Copco Lake

Well I did a river drift and fished the Klamath about 10 years ago. It was very fun catching rainbows on panther martins and blue fox spinners. This would be the pools just north of Copco lake.

Also a word of caution to you if you venture the river. Keep your eyes out for therattlers. There were a huge population when I used to fish the river. It would be uncommon to see at least 10 snakes per outing, especially when temps get above 90.

Hope this helps you a little. By the way I always heard rumors of people catching huge steelheads in the river, but me personally never hooked one.
