Heading up to Tahoe 16th to the 25th of July Can anyone recommend a good guide service also any advice up there usally fish the colorado river for bass down in Parker with my little bass boat wanted to bring it up there 17' outboard newer 4 stroke are there any issues with bringing private boats on the water. Do guys even fish little boats up there? Any and all info will help first vacation in years taking the whole family. Staying at D.L Bliss

Here is a list of some spots around the lake as well as some guides. Plenty of smaller lakes around that you might have better luck than at Tahoe itself....although we have had some great catches at lake Tahoe....Off Dollar Point with oil pack eggs have been good for us on the rainbows. July and August have been the toughest for us..... others have done much better during this time.

The larger Marinas as well as Cave Rock get trout plants. Macks are best with a guide.

If you are into warm water fish, believe it or not Tahoe Keys has decent bass and panfish fishing. Only found out about them a few years ago....they are definitely there.

Depending on which way you head up to the lake, if you go near Gardnerville these guys they can hook you up on smaller lakes and streams in the area...They also are guides
