Jumped on the Seahorse for fathers day. (thanks to the wifey) We left bout 10 pm in pretty rough conditions. Got tossed around a bit that night but eventually found our way to clemente island.
Started fishing at about 5 or so. Pretty much everybody was setup with dropper loops and squid. 30 minutes into the spot and I feel that good old feeling. Tap Tap.... Set the hook and not 1 minute later I get this slimestick.

The one and only fish landed in the dark. Capt decides to make a move and 15 minutes later were anchored again. I had just dropped my squid down to the depths and see the guy next to me get that tap tap but he misses. Then I get the tap tap and dont miss. Set the hook and this fish burns like 100 yards of line off my 40# LX 2 speed setup with ease. Fought it for a good 15 minutes and finally color. It was the biggest freakin yellow ive ever seen. I didnt get a weight for the fish but I think its over 25..... What do you guys think??? No matter the size its the biggest yellow i have caught so new PB for me....

The boat picked away at the slow bite and ended up 4 for 4 on the yellows and we switched to bass fishing around 10. Alot of dinks but some keepers. Plenty of sheeps around also. Ended the day around 230 or so. My yellow didnt hold up for JP. Probably lost by a pound or so. All the yellows were pigs today... Boat and crew were awesome as usual and the bacon cheeseburger was bomb.... Thanks for looking.
Awesome fathers day for me with the yellow but it got even better..... :EyePop::EyePop::EyePop:
