I just heard of Albacore being caught about 65 miles from Santacruz. Hopefully we will be able to catch them outside of Morro Bay this year. This could be an awesome albacore season. Let's Keep our fingers crossed.

I hear it's kicking in again, that warm water will bring them in close to shore.
Besides, we need all the rain we can get, dry as a popcorn fart where I live.

There is already the right kind of water not far offshore from Morro Bay but so far, the only thing anyone looking has found around there is big bonito. Santa Cruz area had a very short Ablie season up there last year, too. But this is really early so we may indeed see some Morro bay action this year...FINALLY!

Albies are also being taken only 20 miles out from Shelter Cove in Nor Cal! I would'nt be surprized if they show up off Oregon and Washington soon.
