In preparation for our trip to the Sierra's, I purchased some waders (from e-bay) for the little woman and then we decided to go tube close to home because time is ticking for us to get ready for the trip.
So we chose to take a hop, skip and a jump to our backyard place.......Puddingstone.
After some hassles with getting the stuff together because It's been my first time since my hip replacement and I was a bit rusty on organizing my float tube gear, I figured it out and inserted a new bladder I had received for my tube..
We launched about 4:00 p.m. and fished for some bullgills until about 5:45 at Sailboat Cove, because Junior wanted to go watch the Laker game.
Here's Simone after her maiden launch:

She was floating like a champ for a while with the pole:

Here she is with her MONSTER bluegill (of course with her Team 57 t-shirt), she proclaimed that she's ready to catch some bigger fish up at the Sierra's on a tube:

She did a great job moving around and keeping up with me and I look forward to her floating in the beautiful Sierra and sharing the experience with me.
I caught three bluegills when I started to actually fish and not supervise her voyage.
I'll post those pics tomorrow (just for entertainment purposes).
South Lake....here we come!
