After taking a 3 month break on the weekends to support my sons baseball team, I finally got a weekend day to go fishing. Of course nothing was pre-staged the night before and I did not make it for a dawn patrol-but I STILL got on the lake a little late-like 11:40AM! I wanted to do some trolling for some deep thermo-clining Rainbows, so I tried skinner since it was the closest. The water temp was 71, so I dropped the DR and worked the dam feverishly area for nothing (Thank God a Angel game was on). Folks tied up at the dam area were getting doubles and triples on stripers (looked like small ones) but they were having a blast! Drifted bait with west wind coming in pretty good for nothing and all the baseball games on the radio were over- I returned to the D.R at 3PM and put on a skinny shad lure and went at it again. Finally got the rod to pop up on some feisty little guys, by the time I dropped the lure down to depth I had another and then another. No big models, but it felt good to catch something, all little suckers released. Here are some pics:

Feels good to fish again, may hit Lake Hemet or BBL next.
