which reel and rod do i use to throw the 5'' 7/8oz spook? and lbs line?

Topwaters (like the spook) are best fished with 12 to 15 pound mono because mono floats better. Use whatever rod and reel you are comfortable with, spinning or casting will work great. Check this video out, its got great tips for the spook.
