seal beach afternoon HB late night 6/13

Went out to the seal beach pier with my girl and friend ron. We caught a few smelt on sabiki rigs. One I used for live bait crigged for nothin. Fished from 2-4:30pm n left.
Later on around 11:30 decided to hit up hb pier. Had about 30mins of fishing there before they kicked us out. But 10 mins into it my girl caught a little shark on a sardine tail. I think it was a grey smoothound but I'm not sure. Pretty fun blitz fishing. Goin to give hb a try again real soon .

I was there at HB pier on Saturday and there was some pretty good action. I saw people catchin scad mackeral, corbina, bsp, yfc, and spotfin croakers. A lot of fish were being caught on mussel. I also saw some guy out on the end with an sand bass. Asked him if he measured it but he quickly said yes and began packing up.

I think I'm going again this saturday night. U fish there a lot? I'm tryin to catch a lil shark myself

For sharks I would try the end. The smoothhounds will bite nearly anything. Are you after any species in particular?

Anything but I'd mostly like to catch a hali some little sharks cause my rods can't handle biger fish. Croaker, corbina... Anything. I'm new to the salt

I went 2 HB pier on fri. 6/12 from 1230-430pm & caught 2 sharks 16-18", 1 ray, halfway down the pier using Ghost Shrimp. Also caught about 10 of some other fish, don't know what it was (about 6" long looks like a baby catfish w/a big mouth???) Headed 2 end of pier & caught 1 sculpin & 6 macks. All fish were caught on Ghost Shimp except 4 macks, caught on pcs. Of mackeral.......... Good luck. Hope this was any help...
