Must b the tree hugger gods. Last season b4 MLPA takes it all away and nothing going on. We need warmer water , cudas, sandies, then dodos and ahi!!!!!!!! I want to make my last year in this socialist state ok b4 I move my business , boat ,and family to Naples,fl. and kiss Pelosi, fienstein, boxer and arnie's facist *** goodbye forever. I wil take my ammo, and 20 years left of fishing to a place that gets it. This state is now in the flushable stage. Hasta amigos!

Good luck in Florida with all the bat sized mosquitos, insane humidity, daily rain, HURRICANES, tornadoes, thunderstorms, sinking houses, alligators, crocodiles, rattlesnakes, cottonmouths and drug smugglers. I hope you find your "heaven" there. Oh, and when you are out in the swamps, be aware of quicksand and watch out for Sigmund the seamonster and the Creature from the Black lagoon... I think you'll find that it's just as bad there as it is here with all the political B.S., only the weather is worse! Come back and visit anytime!

I would like to leave also but don't know where to go? To old to start over and don't want to screw up and move to a worse deal. I will keep checking the board for the right place.
Good luck in Florida:Smile:.

That would be where I would want to move to Either Florida or Venice Louisiana.

I agree on all this Ambassadorhawg but its a small price to pay for Excellent fishing 12 months out of the year in the motherland of fishing. Jack Cravalle in the canals, Snook, Redfish in the fall/winter (which hits all your typical Largemouth bass Lures), Peacock bass in the canals and lakes, Tuna/Marlin/Sailfish/Wahoo within 1 day range, Cobia in spring, Goliath Grouper on local structure, Tarpon, and the list goes on and on. If MPLA closes our coast and I Could find a decent career out in Florida Bye Bye Cali. Oh yea and I forgot you could get a 6 bedroom house with an indoor pool for 300k.

only problem is that its almost impossible to make 50k a year out there but who cares as long as you don't have kids to put through college. the inshore fishing in the southeast blows the doors off anything we can get out here. no spotted bay bass but you'll get over that after a few eight pound redfish and some mangrove snapper.

The grass is always greener by the septic tank.

California has its problems, and sure, its not perfect, but so far its been good to my family and I. I could afford to move to far fishier locales (south Florida), but frankly, fishing ranks low on the scale of things I have to be responsible for.

Best of luck on your move. Maybe as more and more people exit California, the housing prices will reflect this. Who knows...

The reason property is cheaper there is because it is literally built on unstable land. The is no bedrock in Florida, it's a sand spit, that's all. You can get property cheaper ANYWHERE in this country, but you will have to accept some risks which usually include bad weather patterns.

But weather is not the real problem, PEOPLE are the real problem with this planet. There is too many people anywhere you go. Where you find people, you will find trouble. There is no escaping it. Whether it is politics or crime, it's on your doorstep no matter where you go.
