Im looking for a nicer trout rod. Id like it to be good with throwing mini jigs. I dont want a noodly flimsy rod like a compre. Ive already gone through one of those. Im looking at a phenix or a gloomis or something like that. looking to spend around 120 maybe a little more. Post up what you have.

Looking For: Phenix FX761-1

Thanks,
SamGann

Id go with something longer than 6 footers for minijigs... FX761-1 This is the model I have and its the best mini jig rod ever. Good Luck....

What Liteliner said go longer than a 6'. I think Phenix should have way longer models for about $50 more.

x3 of the above. You will not get much distance with a 6 footer. Id say stick to at least a 7'. 7'6" - 8' is primo. 2lb max! Have fun.

Go to turners in chino hills they got there california rods on sale. The one i got is 7'6" 2lb. To 6lb.extra fast action. Its the most sensitive ive ever had. It cast a mile.it puts my cruical to shame.

They are sick. The 761 or 801 are the best mini jig rods, and the 802 is the best for all around stuff.

I wrote that a while back, and it goes into more detail.

No problem.

Either a 761 or 801. The 761 is a one piece 7'6" rod, and the 801 is a 2 piece 8ft rod. They have the same taper, the only differences are the ones I listed above. It's personal preference as to which one you choose. They are both very good rods.

With that much $ for a trout rod, I would check into Custom Wraps...

7' with a custom look, not to fancy, should be in the ball park...

I had mine done by Dans custom rods... (that was over a yr ago)..
Cant find anything on Google, maybe some one can hook it up for ya????

Kennys has a rouge 7'2" fast 2lb to 6lb. Its nice. To pricy for me. I think its 180.00 but kennys will deal with you..

To many variables to guestimate???
The Blank can be expensive..
Lot of "Excellent Quality" blanks that are reasonable...
How much bling do ya want in/on the wrap??

I won my Blank at a tournament (Donated by Dan's) and got a hook up price on the wrap ($30). I didnt have a clue what I wanted on it???
Dan does do excellent work...

I would recommend him to anyone & everyone.....
