Ole frog arived at Pretty Water at the crack of dawn
I wanted to fish the north end as I have scratched some Crappie in this area a few times.
It did not take me long to change my mind ,the boat got so clogged in the weeds I gave up that plan.
Tons of weeds all over the lake,I said to heck with Cappie I'll fish bass.
I fished two hours and caught 6 bass , all were caught on a XCalibur Zell Pop.
When the bite shut off I quit.I guess I could have went with a weedless rig but I just did not want to fight the weeds.
Only two of the Bass were legal I released them all , I have all the fish I want for awhile.
I choose the poper because of the weeds and I like to fish on the surface.
I like to see the fish smack the lure.
