I'm gonna go on a limb here and offer these up that you might find on Netflix or good local movie store:

"Les Visiteurs" (The Visitors): French. 2 guys from 12th century thrown into modern day france.

"Le Placard" (The Closet): French. Guy work at condom facotry, thinks he's getting fired, so he acts gay in hopes they won't fire due to discrimination.

"Mediteraneo": Italian. Stranded WWII Italian sailors on a Greek island, where they basically let time and the war go by.

"Il Ciclone": Italian. Bunch of Spanish Flamenco dancers get stranded in small dull Italian village. You can see how the plot develops from there...


So many good comedies to choose from....
