Im going to be leaving for Mammoth Thurs. afternoon and I dont know if I want to drive all the way to Mammoth Thursday night and set up camp in the dark and cold. Does anyone have any suggestions on cheap/good hotels in Bishop or Mammoth?

Try the TREES MOTEL on line st.,place is clean and the staff is great..great prices too!-perfect spot for anglers.

I'll be up there on Thursday too, according to AAA website cheapest place in Bishop for 1 night is Mountainview Motel for $69.98

Elm's Motel in Bishop should still be $50 a night.....clean, reasonable, simple.
I stayed there once so I didn't have to pay for another day in a mammoth condo just for the travel day.
Will do it again
