Piru - Sunday 6.07.09 - going off

Piru went off sunday. We started in the coves looking for crappie armed with some info from Fishthewhaler (thank you sir, mission accomplished). and almost instantly we had every species hitting everything we threw at em. blue gill were hitting rapalas. bass, crappie, and trout were hitting mini jigs, i even had my largest bass of the day hit a roostertail make it to the boat, and then break off on the 2 lb. all in all it was pretty wfo. There was a lot of wildlife out today too. Deer feeding, big Blue Herons, and we were almost caught in a stampede.

Congrats on the 1st Crappie! and good job avoiding the stampede!! Just be glad they weren't those mini cattle from jack in the box.

it did get windy in the afternoon (as usual), but nowhere near my previous trips at Piru.

Saweeettttttt!! Looks like you guys found did some damage!! good going on the mustispecies. Its always good when you can catch the lake grandslam of all species in one day..Kitties are like the only thing you don't catch too often there. Nice job fellas
