Took out my nieces boyfriend on Saturday to see if I could get him on his first striper. Got on the water by 6:30 am...

Headed straight out spots and had a rig get tagged and fish on.... I grabbed the rod and handed it off to Jimmy and the fight was on. The line slacked though and unfortunatly we farmed it. Felt like a real solid fish too... DAMN... Oh well, circle back around for another shot at it for nada....circle around again for nada.... Third times a charm... Jimmy lands his first Striper.

Spend another few laps for another the same size, must have been twins...lol

After a few more tries on that spot I decide to head back towards the launch and hit the fish arm.... Trolled all the way back to Elizabeth Canyon for a couple of these.... Didnt get too many marks on the graph the whole way back there...

Turned back by Elizabeth and trolled on back and it starts raining a little....Keep on trollin and now it starts pouring for like 20 minutes.

Hell yeah, I get to one of my spots that normally produces and the graph starts a singin to me!!!! Boy was it lit up... Next thing you know we're on a double hook up, throw the rigs back in and we are watchin the rigs get tapped, both of em... Another double hookup and I got a double on my rig....This continued on for about 5 passes.....Only problem was they were dinks...Only pulled one decent one out of it....Ahhhahahaha.... It was fun in the rain though.

So we decided to hit back up the spot where we got the two nicer models and we end up picking up another pair. Decided to troll up the ski arm now and hit up the dam by the bouy line... NADA...

The water must have been 15 feet or so down since the last time I been here...Check out Kong Island....

We ended the day with 5 striper to take home for fish tacos on Tuesday to go with the Laker Game!!!!! Tossed too many dinks back I forgot count....

Here's the O.G. COOLER shot just for you Bob!!!!

Had a really good time out there. It was a little cold out but little to no wind so the off and on rain wasnt really a factor. Not too many boats were out either.

Good seeing you out there again Steve!!!

See ya on the water....

Joseph,
Good job on the stripers bro......The weather is to blame for the slow bite on the bigger models.
