Went with some of my friends to the SC Surffishing.com FishOff this morning with the incoming tide at Mission Beach. I'd guess nearly 100 contestants there. Most people caught perch. I had a slow morning (zero) until I reached Lifeguard Tower 10 were I found a hole. I ended up with 18 small perch on camo worm. While fishing there, I had my buddy Roy join me after he told me he had 6 fish. He picked up 21 catches in 75 minutes using the camo worm on a C-rig. Noel saw us hooking up and picked up 10 in 30 minutes.
Now, that kind of fishing can bring a big smile to one's face! I just gotta get my 4th grade son and 2nd grade daughter into surf fishing. They helped me make a sand crab rake last weekend but I didn't get a chance to use it...
