Hey everyone, me and the boys (Scott, James, and Greg) decided to head up north and get in some trout action.

The fishing conditions where perfect, with very little bugs.

We set up camp and headed out for Rock Creek around 5 am. We started off with spoons and roostertails and mini jigs.

The bite was fairly decent with the lake producing some of the smaller trout it had to offer.

The mini jigs turned out to be the hot ticket (fighting frog/motor oil colors) with a orange berkley trailer. I landed my 1st German Brown and a Brookie that was in a hurry to get somewhere so I missed my photo op.

We caught plenty of rainbows with Scott catching the biggest of the trip weighing in at 4.15 lbs. on a white mini jig. The pic doesn't do it justice.

All in all it was a great to get out there with you guys. I look forward to our next trip.
