Big bear lake camping

Because of a recent change in plans I had the following quesitons.......



Does anyone know if you can "camp" right off the road along the north shore of big bear lake.....there are sandy areas where it is possible to pitch a tent. Can you start a fire there?....my guess is not.

check out serrano camp grounds right near the light house.
it's a pretty cool camp area... need the adventure day pass i believe.
no camping right off the lake & definately no camp fires. unless things have
changed recently. i use to hit bbl a lot few years ago. good luck...
