Nice light load on with a bunch of locals. What do you call your group and what does it stand for ( 7 of 11 anglers )?

Love reading your reports Ron.

Hi deanhall32,

Our fishing club is called the 'K of C Anglers Club'. K of C stands for the Knights of Columbus but there is no religion or politics in the mix. Everyone is welcome. Most guys are over 60 and one skipper called us 'The Diaper Brigade'. 7 of 11 means of the 11 patrons 7 were club members.

Likewise, I enjoy your reports and appreciate the effort you make to share the wealth !!

Where's the swimbait pics??? Last report i noticed that u had blams rigged upside down. I'm guessing that u like the action better when rigged upside down?? Always a great report JR!!!

Hi russ88,

I kinda figured everybody had got tired of seeing the same old rubber. Also ... even though I got bit on each color .... there was no special color. Swimbaits were a no go .... even in the kelp !! wierd !! Didn't mention it but fishing a Blam is 'ON' the kelp .... hangs up a lot less than regular swimmies !! Honest ! That's with same leadhead weight too.

Yes ... the reversal has two pluses that I learned long ago with the tube lures then applied to the Blams and Mogambos. Don't tell anyone but ....... you can still use the tube lure if you turn it around on the cylindrical weight ! The Blam and Monanbo are the same in being able to use them twice as long but also ... you can choose to have the tail kick from the top of the lure or the normal bottom. Different action !! Try the tail down on top water !!

Await your next Yellowtail slaughter ! :)

Hi larissa,

Thank you. I was planning on making your thumb the star of the aside and lo and behold here comes a co-star in the form of an index finger. But ... rest assured ... thumbs (opposable thumbs being the difference between humans and the most apes !) are more valued and loved over something that is so often used rudely (pointing is not nice) !! :) In Japanese, the index finger is called 'hito-sashi-yubi' which literally means ... the finger one points at people !

However ..... on reflection .... one could not singal OK ! if we didn't have both !!

Eagerly await your next trip and report,

JapanRon
