Well, I was gonna post yesterday, but the internet was working too slow. AND, I was supposed to go to Perris, but weird weather conditions made me think twice. Anyways, I decided to hit up a creek I hadn't heard much about. When I got there, I fished right near the road. The water was too shallow. So instinctively, I followed it. I followed it for about a 1/2 mile and realized: A) the water was too low and B) there are no fish in here! I did not give up however! There was a path that I followed for a good mile or two that finally took me to a deeper section of the creek. So I rock hopped and rock climbed down stream for about 1 mile. The thing that sucks was that there were again, not many deep pools (only three, but only two held fish) and there were bit many fish! But anyways, I did throw out a powerworm into one of the deeper pools and I did catch one trout! It was a nice one. C&R'd. After that I went downstream some more only to be skunked down there. I do have to say, despite the lack of fish, the scenery was nice. Felt like I was a lot further from the city than I actually was.

Upon arrival, I see this. They're out there!

Just an idea of how low the water is.

A nice creek bow.

Boo!!!! There's not even enough water at full pool for a tire swing!

Just a few extras:

A bass I caught on a jig at Silverwood on Wednesday.

Anyone know what kind of spider this is? I haven't been seeing spiders at my house a lot, but when I do, they look like this:

Nice report thats a sweet lil hole.

If you leave your doors open, then most likely its a grass spider.

Nice feeesh. The spider is a member of the wolf spider family. Not sure of the exact species though:

Looks like a day well spent as long as you can avoid those snakes. Thanks for sharing.

I've heard that. That time was my first at the creek, but I talked to an older guy that said the creek gets absolutely killed after the stock.

Haha, that's what i was thinking when I was up close to it! No Hydrex man for me, the bottom of my shoe will work good enough!

After seeing that, it definitely does look like a Wolf Spider. I did a little research earlier and was leaning toward that conclusion.
