My Dad and I went to DVL today for our first time. What a really nice and HUGE lake. We were the 3rd car in line, about 10 cars today. Got the rental boat(boats are not that bad compared to other lakes), and headed out to find the panfish. We caught over 60 really small blue gill I mean real DINKS, released them all safely to grow up. That is all we found throughout the lake. We fished the whole lake, every DAM, all three of them, even by the stairs with different types of bait including meal worms, night crawlers and crickets and jigs and nothing but tiny Blue Gill. We did have a lot of fun! Next time i hope we can locate Bigger Blue Gill and Crappie. The fish finder showed a lot of fish but they were all at 100 feet or deeper in some areas. The water was a steady 74 degrees with a fair wind chop in the later evening. No shad to be found, didn't see anyone else hook up, but a few 9 pound cats were caught.

Yes, by the stairs, all the stairways, and all 3 dams.
