Short and sweet report.... Left out of Dana Point on the Sea Horse on Tuesday in search of the Yellows.... Before we even left Captain made a speech saying that we are gonna hunt for these yellows ALL day... NO ROCK FISHING NO BASS FISHING and if we didnt agree on that then heres your last chance to get off the boat. Everyone agreed and then we were off.... Fished the grey light and we hooked 1 at about 7am... All the boats were fishing these yellows on the drift... I fished the dropped loop on my Calstar 850M w/ a Trinidad 20 w/ 50lb mono/floro.... NO DICE, We had 3 hook ups but 2 were donkied!!!! 1 was killed. Finally Captain said he sees them sitting a little high in the water, so i whiched over to a Calstar 900H w/ Trinidad 20 w/ 50lb mono/floro 3/4oz slider 7/0 long shank hook, 1st cast BLAM!!!!!! I was on.... I told the captain i wasnt a trashman so i wasnt gonna be dumping ****!!!! he started laughing.... I had the fish up in about 10 mins... Only 1 more was landed... Bite shut down at about 10am.... We ended up 3 for 8 .... J/P was tight but i ended up edging the guy out by a hair... The guy was pissed because he was a regular on the boat... I really didnt care... The captain asked me is it close, i said YES, VERY... I even said lets split it. He said thats cool.. So we did. Captain said good job... but he agreed that i was the J/P winner... This boat is a good boat.... $100 trip and the crew is great... This will be the new boat i will be fishing on these overnighters... They dont do what some of the other boats do and just radio report fish..... These guys are true to the game!!!! Here's a few pix.....

Way to go Aaron. Your fish is bigger all the way just by looking at it. The crew on the Sea Horse are very good at what they do. A $100.00 trip right now is s steal. I was more a few years ago and $140.00 last year for an on trip. My brother left a few hours ago on the Sea Horse to San Clemente with 15 anglers on board. Sucker didn't even ask me if I wanted to go.
