6-2-09 1/2 day dana warf

fished on the morning 1/2 day boat (sum fun) out of dana warf yesterday. its been a couple of years since i'd fished on a cattle boats but it was nice to be out on the water again. water temps dropped and fishing was slow. it was elbow to elbow with lots of rental rods on the boat but the crew did a good job of keeping the webs to a minimum. bait was a mixture of deans, chovies and cut squid. although the bait was pretty beat up we still scratched out a few. caught a solid calico (on the iron, released), a good sized tree fish (chovie, released), a short slimer (on the iron, released) and a jackpot sandy (squid). all in all a fun day!!!

Sounds like slow fishing but it will only get better. Sounds like you still had a good time.
