fished a few fave spots of mine in the week i was there....the Arkansas river..which was rather unkind to me.....went 0 for 3...but did get to see bass chuck the hook...next day then went to a pond..as they call it there...more like a small lake...in Sand Springs..did better there
manged a few bass on the spinner bait..but did lose 2 baits to the fish gods

no worries there is a BPS...down the road Aspell..seen the blue gills swarming..

and it was wide open for hand sized gills....in one stretch i bagged 45 ..then came the thunder and lightning...not a good idea hold a graphite lighting rod in hand ya know...took shelter ..deluge only lasted a few mins..so went back to the bluegill mayhem

a few days later went to my gals folks house along the shores of Grand lake o' Cherokees
ok..if win the lottery..i will move there...that lake is killer...anywho got up and walked to the lake..and was met with this view

tried lots of baits..but ended up with my trusty drop shot..second cast

the next morning ..walked around to a point ..seen bass crashing bait..on with the Zara Spook..bingo

seen gar...caught spotted bass,LMB, SMB...white bass, stripers..gills etc...
there lots of places to fish along side the road..ponds here...canals there..

Oklahoma rocks for fishing....oh best part do not have to pay to get in to fish..
