Ok so i just got my first swimbait setup. A calcutta 400te and a Gloomis swimbait rod 955. the only swimbait i have is a slow sinking bbz in the glossy rainbow color...

heres where i need help. I have about 200 dollars to spend on baits (which id like to cover fishing at all times of the year. I want to get a couple topwaters and some wakebaits and maybe one deep/bottom bouncer. Can anyone help. Im looking at the 3:16 Baby Wake and i really like the bbz's.

Thanks for the help,
SamGann

P.S.... I fish Lake Perris and DVL mostly.

Wake Jr. ($90), Lunker Punker ($55), 8in ROF12 Hudd ($25). That's about $175 with tax, and will be a selection that will catch fish in nearly every situation when you throw in the slow sink BBZ. You could also buy a Mattlures bluegill with the leftover $25 if wanted to spend all $200.

If you want a Baby Wake, I have a used once one I'll sell.

Or you could just go all out and by a Born Again Armageddon!

defently the lunker punker, and the shell cracker floating or sinking, hudds cause there cheap and they work.. theres a lot of custom ones being made but are kinda pricey.. i dont know how far you are from hemet but LAST CHANCE BAIT AND TACKLE is your one shop swimbait stop...they have way more then BPS can ever have defently worth the drive to check them out!!! i promise..

Ditch one of the floating BBZ's and definetly get a hudd, ROF 5.

What he said. You don't need a silverfish BBZ at all when you have the flat rainbow one in the same fall rate. You need a big rubber trout when the fish want something slow that is crawled on the bottom. ROF 12 or ROF 5 Hudds do that really well, and you definitely want at least one in your swimbait collection.

my choice would be a wooden lunker punker rainbow color. Tail wagger or triple trout your choice. a hudd five and a 16. as far as wake baits the ac minnow or the wake jr but that dam thing looks pricey. and a bbz rainbow. also some really awsome baits are the optimum cheap too and they are killer.
