Who else is tired of all the Lebron comparisions to some of the greatest Ballers we have ever seen! Come on.... Kobe Bryant, Micheal Jordan, Larry Bird, Jerry West.... Lebron has NO RING, and will not have a ring this season... END OF STORY! He has no right being in the same sentence with these players... Win a Ring to be considered elite. MVP will not cut it!

If the basis of your argument about Lebron not being able to get mentioned alongside some big names is because he never got a ring, I guess Ewing, Stockton, Malone and Barkley must never be uttered as well.

Personally, I think winning a championship should play a factor in determining how great someone is, but it shouldn't be the only factor. Plus, the guy is 24 years old. Considering this conversation is already taking place this early in his career makes me think he's got a lot in store for the NBA in the upcoming decade. I mean, look at the surrounding cast he's had with him this year. If we put Kobe in his place in Cleveland, do you think he would've taken them this far?

Yes, the constant talk of him being the greatest does get annoying, but what else are the announcers going to talk about during these finals? How bad the Clippers are?

Someone lost there marbles for sure. After the Finals Kobe will have a ring without Shaq. Shaq is now in the past will never ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever be like Kobe. Shaq just wants to be in the spot light again. Shaq would kill to be a Laker again. Kobe haters hate this Championship baby. Lebron plays for Ceveland, cleveland sucks just like Browns, Indians and any other team in Cleveland. Not even God could help the happless Cleveland fans. Two words Let Down!

Well you are kinda right with the Shaq & kobe deal i think they both needed each other. They could have went down as the best duo ever if Shaq would have just kept his mouth shout. Look at him now, Wanting to take a pay cut and play off the bench to go back to the Lakers he now realized hes nothing without Kobe.

Take Rodman & Pippen away form Jordan and he would have been another Lebron in my eyes! I have never been a Big Jordan fan I know im going to get alot of heat for this like i always do but i think Jordan was the most overrated player in NBA history:!!!:

How can you use that as a basis of comparison to a discussion involving 2 individuals head to head; you can't use stats when those stats contain an entire team, to compare 2 individual people.

Unless, of course, you can safely say that during the 3 Laker championships, if Lebron was in Kobe's shoes, they wouldn't have won all 3. Then maybe that comparison would hold some water.

But if you do, you'd be trying to say that a team featuring Shaq and Lebron (and the rest of the '00, '01 and '02 Lakers) wouldn't have won those same titles.

Boy this is going no where fast. They do use championships as a way of comparison. The QB in football gets the credit and the blame. The goalie in hockey gets the blame. The pitcher gets the blame. The best player gets the blame. The point is Dwight Howard played much better than Lebron. Dan Marino smino. If your that so called miracle then yes all stats comparisons championship what so ever counts. Robert Horry is the best player ever hands down.

Read what you are writing!

Rings don't make a champion, like someone said, if that was the case Horry would be the all time great....

Ken Griffey Jr, one of the best outfielders ever....616 Homeruns....
NO RING....great player or not?

What has Lebron done? I believe he beat your kobe in scoring this year, he must be a decent player....right?

Check the stats, head to head, Lebron has more wins and better numbers.....
http://www.cleveland.com/datacentral/index.ssf/2009/01/lebron_holds_career_edge_over.html

Marino did not suck check his numbers, are you ignorant?

I was only using Marino as an example, hence great numbers, no rings..

I don't like Marino....either

My second point, again....

So, what if, Kobe blows out his knee next year and never plays again, and Lebron goes on to win five rings.....

You or anyone else cannot compare the two until their careers are over, you can only give your opinion....right?
