Feet hit the sand at 6am.
Walked down over to the spot and see "Corbina Charlie"
start to throw his Corbina set- up!!!
He uses 10lb. line 1oz. egg sinker and a 1ft. :Shocked: leader!!!
How he does it with that length leader,I don't know!!!:Rolls Eyes:
He caught six Corbina last week!!!

I hook into this legal!!! :Big Grin:
MAN!!! the water was so clear I could see it was a legal
right off the bat!!! :Big Grin: He does three runs, and I figure, THAT'S IT,
YOUR COMING IN NOW!!!" since he was tryin for the kelp!!! So I
tightened the drag a little, time the waves, and slid him in!!!:Big Grin:

Good job on the South Bay legal man! They are moving close to shore in good numbers now, and the fishing for them should get really good soon. Were you are is one of my favorite areas for corbina. I stuck my PB 26in corbina there. Give the corbs a shot next time you hit it up, you won' be dissapointed :Wink:

I know that spot as well. As a matter of fact I'm pretty sure that I've met that dude also. Doesn't he also use a size 6 hook with two sand crabs at a time as well....LOL
The first time I fished that spot I got my first bean and I was hooked on those little freight trains of the surf. How are the crab beds right now? I'm getting the itch to hit up some of my old stomping grounds to target some beans and flatties in the same area.
