Diamond Valley Late Report

So ya hit up the Jewel of SoCal from a rental with my pops and my Uncle in search of new spots. We started in the quarry for nada and headed across the lake. We found a nice looking cove and a guy fishing a pontoon who had already landed several nice looking cats in the area. So we anchor up for a while and land nothing there either. So around 3 we have no fish besides a stray bluegill and head to an old reliable spot and the action was hot right away. The fish were hitting it on the drop we even snagged a couple. We must have hooked into a good 30 plus catfish landing most of them. We ended up keeping 15 (5 a piece) and letting the rest swim off to fight another day. Biggest fish went 9 pounds most were in that 5-9 pound range no 15 -20 pound class fish but still it was a great trip out on the water. Oh and on my way out i caught the only real toad of the day lol.
