Another great report Ron. Good tips you listed there...especially when throwing the iron to look behind you. I've come close on several ocassions to almost getting stuck by one because somebody didn't feel the need to look behind them.

Excellent point about safety & slinging iron. People lose their minds when the surface bite is going on...

Actually I don't miss throwing the iron as I never really had my heart in it as one needs to be up all the time(preditor) to do really well. I got some super light 5-something 544s for my HD Bass rods if I wanted to sling any iron. Plastic is good enough for me !!

Every year, when the first bunch of cuda come through, I am reminded of how little many fellow-patrons are mindful of the common-sense behavior preferred by other passengers and crew. One guy I know never looks back and never calls out yet when I complain to him he just says 'Yes I did' and thinks it's funny. Hate to say it but sure would like the fear of something put in him. He knows better but just thinks it's come kind of joke !!

What a shame we have the next few months left before the tree hugging socialist state of California takes all this away with the MLPA. We will only have pictures and memories. In 2010, I will be moving my business, my guns, ammo and boat to Naples, Florida to enjoy great fishing and freedom from the California mentality.Looking at Pelosi, Boxer, Feinsein and arnie in my rear view mirror.
