I'm planning a trip in the next week or so. How is the water levels in the Bishop basin area...Mainly the levels at South Lake and Sabrina?

Are the rental boats in the water?

Thanks

Intake II and North are typical - they don't fluctuate much unless they're doing work on them.

Sabrina is low compared to full capacity but it's WAY higher than it normally is this time of year. Their entire fleet, including their Pontoon boats are in the water and ready to rent.

South Lake is also low compared to full capacity but is also WAY WAY higher than it usually is this early in the season. The back of the lake is already 3-5ft deep in most areas and it's coming up super fast. The DFG was able to stock today with only a little help from my crew - that's the first time in 4 years we've been able to get DFG fish into the lake in the month of May. We currently have 9 rentals on the water at South Lake and the hope is to have the docks and the pontoons in by June 7th - again, much much earlier than usual.

The Bishop Creek Canyon Summer Classic starts June 1st and the whole canyon will get a load of tagged Alpers to go along with the fish already being planted by Adopt a Creek. This is a great time to be visiting the Bishop Creek Canyon....

Peace,
Smitty

thanks for the info...

On the Bishop Creek Canyon Summer Classic, do you have to pre-register for it? Is there a cost?
