A friend game me this reel. He was unhappy with the performance of the drag so he put it on the shelf to be forgotten.

I have found the schematic for it, but I have no experience on rebuilding these reels. Is it worth the trouble? Is there such a thing as a rebuild "Kit" for these models? I'm a bit of a hobbiest and farily mechnically inclined, so I don't mind the challenge.

Any thoughts, sites, opinions come to mind?

I have never seen or heard of those reels???
But rebuilds and R&R are not that difficult for a hobbyist..

Google Alan Tani ... Or go to Bloody Decks and look in the Reel forums, he does rebuild Tutorials & pics, there (that are all over the web)...

You can see and learn a lot......

For drag washer upgrades that are not popular or for old reels. You will need a Micrometer to measure thickness of stack and diameter.. Then you can make your own....

Some parts, Drags, bearings, plates etc & a few tools.. Smoothdrags.com
Dawn will help a lot, she knows her stuff well.... Email or call...
